We did it! We completed our first year as the Marco Shemwell Foundation and we could not have done it without ALL OF YOU! Give yourselves a round of applause because you certainly deserve it.
To recap, we are a grassroots non-profit that began after the tragic death of our precious Marco (4). Overwhelmed by our grief, and the love and support we received from our community, we found purpose in our pain and in honoring Marco's life by creating the Marco Shemwell Foundation. Our mission is to bring hope, comfort, and healing through #MarcoMoments that leave ripples of positive change.
Together, we reminded 1,600 children that they are special, loved, and worthy of celebrating their birthday. We gave 450 toys to UK Kentucky Children's Hospital Child Life Program. We donated 100 pairs of shoes to Upward40391 participants. And we completed 40 #MarcoMonday Challenges every week where we created ripples of kindness by showing love in action.
